A. "JJ" doesn't stand for anything. It was a made up name by a night club owner back in the 1950's. JJ's real name is John Welden Cale. There have been several articles misprinting the name "Jean Jacques" as what the abbreviations mean. This is in fact MYTH. When Cale was performing in France several decades ago, a drunk French journalist was thrown out of a night club, and printed that name in an article, which has been used in many popular write-up's ever since. You can even find this error printed in the "official" All Music Guide.

Q. When is JJ Cale's birthday?

A. December 5, 1938 in Oklahoma City, OK. Grew up at Tulsa, OK. He would be 75 this year!

Q. Where does John call home?

A. John and Christine live in Southern California.

Q. Will JJ be touring (insert country here) soon?

A. I don't know any future tour updates! When they are officially released they will be posted on the front of the website.
