Really JJ's second album. This one is a great followup to naturally. This doesnt seem to be a real big favorite among fans but it sure ranks high on my list. The majority of the songs are low key blues or folk numbers, as usual. Changes is one of my favorite songs on here. I have the chords to it in my tab section on this page. I decided to figure it out because I wanted to play the chorus, I just LOVE the chorus in this song. "Aint no way, Id be lovin lovin nobody but you...." Sorry Im going off on a tangent. Anyway other high points are "Right Down Here", "Louisiana Women", and "Lies", which has some damn good Rhodes piano in it. Definitely an excellent album for JJ. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Really - the "did it end already"-album This must be the laid-back pop/rock/country-album of all-time! When the spring rolls in (in april or so) I'll just have to put on this record, pour me a glass of my favourite drink and go sit on a comfy balcony chair... just closing my eyes and enjoying the warmth of the sun. There other record that suit the purpose (all the other JJ Cale albums, for example... ;-) ), my CBS Billie Holiday-CD and Leon Redbone's Sugar and Dire Straits' first album etc. BUT this is the one. There is one problem with this CD though: It ends so soon. I know it's only 35 minutes or so long, but that's not the point. REALLY is soooooo smooth a recording, like silk or vintage wine, it just flows with a beat of a relaxing heart. Forget the expensive therapy and all the other stuff they might offer you, this the best stress relief around. Even the drums seem to be whispering! Real lazy-euphoria experience! The nice piano fills in addition to Cale's immaculate guitar work and the famous fade-outs at the end of the songs leave you with the feeling that the band keeps palying on after midnight and til the morning breaks, though the studio guys have alredy left for bed... Rating: 10! of 10, "perfect" Desert Island Song: well it always depends on the mood I'm in with J.J. Cale songs, as 90% of'em are excellent, but...
